Optical skills in workshops of optics and cuttings. Training Program

Abstract

An analytical investigation is performed in the Department of Optics and Optometry, Medical Sciences Branch in order to propose a training program for optical procedures and cutting. Academics results are considered to the study for students in 5th year during the years 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. The country has poor methodological documents related to education to work for rotating students in 1st year career and technologists. Diagnostic exams and interviews were applied, showing that students in their technology training are lacked of knowledges in the work of cutting and to set ophthalmic lenses.
