Abstract

intervention study was performed in order to assess the level of knowledge about teen pregnancy at  the Policlinic "Omar Ranedo Pubillones" from November 2012 to November 2013 .The universe is made up of 140 adolescents and the sample of 45. Survey with prior consent is applied. The variables were studied : age group, knowledge of abortion as birth control, contraceptive method in use, the media for information and complications of pregnancy, the main results are in the age group 15 to 17 years, before the conclusion of the investigation identified abortion as birth control, after completion of the study,they  changed their opinions, the most used method was menstrual regulation before the study and after the condom as a means of disseminating in the school before and after the medical and nurse as  complication abortion, conclusions and recommendations were issued.
