Abstract

Psychosocial stress is a predisposing, precipitating or contributing factor of many diseases, especially chronic noncommunicable most affecting the population. However, it is the least known and studied despite its health effects can be catastrophic. Update investigation on this subject was done by addressing issues such as: Definition, components, classification, stages, physical symptoms, and manifestations, among others.
