Abstract

A descriptive study was carried out in the intensive care unit of the Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto "from Guantánamo during 2014-2016 to specify variations in heart rate, blood pressure, and central venous pressure in 60 patients with permanent recovery of the spontaneous circulation after a cardiorespiratory arrest. These variables are compared in the immediate and mediate post-resuscitation period, among live patients. The studied variables were the following: heart rate, systemic arterial pressure, central venous pressure and perfusion pressure, and discharge. The values of these variables are higher in living patients.0.9). ±the deceased had a lower rate of shock and central venous pressure (2.0 74.0% of the patients showed systemic arterial hypotension and in these the mortality was higher. It was concluded that changes in the variables are predictors of mortality in these patients.
