From a universe of 67 patients, a sample of 27 patients was taken by the simple random method, which developed this disease associated with ventilation according to age, groups, sex, conditions that led to its use, time of onset of symptoms and microbiological results. The behavior of mechanic ventilator-associated pneumonias in males, older than 60 years, were more frequently associated with cerebrovascular diseases, most of the symptoms appeared between 4 and 6 days; Staphylococcus epidermidis and Klebsiellap pneumoniae were the most frequently isolated germs in these patients.
