Abstract

A study was performed in order to identify the clinical and epidemiological behavior of oral cancer Guantanamo in the year 2009 until October 2013. The study group was composed of 50 people with diagnosis. The variables were studied: age group, sex, risk factors, oral topography, and morphological and clinical cancer extension. The male sex was the most predominant; the fifth decade of life was the age prevailed. Risk factors that most affected were the oral sepsis, hereditary factors and smoking .oral topography was base tongue, NOS (Not other specifications) and squamous carcinoma; was the most prevalent  morphological type . The predominant clinical extension was in localization. The epidemiological situation shown that we must strengthen the promotion and community prevention.
