It also includes other Latin American scientific journals, contributing scientific identity to the region.

DOAR Directory of Open Access Repositories (OpenDOAR)

The Directory of Open Access Repositories (OpenDOAR) is a UK-based website that lists academic open access repositories. You can search by location, content and other measures. The service does not require full repository details and does not look up the metadata for the repositories. OpenDOAR is maintained by the University of Nottingham under the SHERPA umbrella of services and was developed in collaboration with the Lund University. The project is funded by the Open Science Institute, Jisc, the Consortium for Research Libraries (CURL) and SPARC Europe.

Stanford Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe (OpenAIRE)

OpenAIRE, is a project funded by the European Union within the framework of the Horizon2020 program. It is an Open Access Research Infrastructure, based on the network of open access repositories. Created in 2009 to support, accelerate and measure the correct implementation of European policies on open access to scientific publications and research data. It has a solid network of National Open Access Desks (NOAD), agents that act as national reference points to disseminate and disseminate the open access policies of the European Commission among institutions and researchers, as well as to facilitate the coordination of the national policies with European ones.

EuroPub        AmeliCA

It is a communication infrastructure for academic publishing and open science. It is an initiative held in a cooperative manner and focused on the non-profit publication model to preserve the academic and open nature of scientific communication. AmeliCA is led by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and the Network of Scientific Journals of Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal (RedaLyC) and promoted since its launch by the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico (UAEM), the Universidad de Antioquia (UdeA) and the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP).

Non-profit organization managed and partially funded by the libraries of the Lund University, Sweden. Its main objective is to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access journals. Being a member of this demonstrates commitment to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practices in Academic Publication.

OSD      Open Science Directory (OSD)

Developed by EBSCO, the Hasselt University Library and the request of experts in marine information management who collaborate within the framework of the IODE program (International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange). It aims to create a global search tool for all titles of open access journals and special programs, including PubMed Central, BioMed Central, PERI supporting research, DOAJ, eJDS, Research4life and the Stanford University.

ROAD         Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD)

Directory of Scientific and University Resources in Open Access is a service offered since 2013 by the ISSN International Center, with the support of the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO. It provides free access to a set of bibliographic records of the open access ISSN: journals, monographic series, conference proceedings, academic repositories. These records, created by the ISSN Network, are enriched with metadata from indexing databases, directories (DOAJ, Latindex, The Keepers Registry) and journal indicators (Scopus).

Proposal approved in 1998 at the IV Pan-American Congress of Information in Health Sciences held in San José, Costa Rica.
