Abstract

An educational intervention study was carried out with the aim of modifying the knowledge about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in male adolescents belonging to a Polyclinic University "4 de Abril" clinic; In the period June 2012 - June 2013. The universe is made up of 40 adolescents, determining the initial knowledge, having as variables: concepts, route of transmission, symptoms and signs, protection and risk behavior. After applying the educational intervention, it is possible to modify the knowledge of the staff. There is a marked lack of knowledge in the adolescents surveyed before the intervention, and it is possible to raise and modify knowledge in a positive way, as well as to influence the appropriate sexual behavior of the same, decreasing in the period in which the intervention is applied in number of patients With ITS.
