Abstract

An intervention study was carried out in 98 females, with the objective of applying an educational strategy in women with preconceptional reproductive risk in the University Polyclinic "Asdrúbal López Vázquez", from January to December 2010. The population of Women of childbearing age from 15 - 49 years, with a total of 403, which constitutes our universe. Informed consent is requested. The level of knowledge presented by women with preconceptional reproductive risk, the importance of preconceptional reproductive risk control and different contraceptive methods are used as variables. It develops a program of educational activities, workshops and conferences on the subject in question, being evaluated at the beginning and the end through surveys. After the educational intervention, the women reached important knowledge about the topics covered, a scale of opinion was taken in which they participated, which manifested the achievements of the intervention.
