Abstract

The case of a 41-year-old patient who reported daytime myalgia accompanied by muscle fatigue and sensitivity in anterior teeth was presented. In the extraoral study, the facial index and analysis of thirds were performed, obtaining a europrosopo as a conclusion. Vertical decrease was observed in the lower third of the face. The intraoral examination revealed the loss of hard tissue in the crowns of the upper and lower anterior teeth, accompanied by sensitivity; while, in the complementary radiographic examinations, a radiolucent shadow was seen in the air spaces present at their level. It was possible to diagnose directly by applying tests, the pathology to be treated was diagnosed and a treatment proposal was designed that benefits the patient functionally and aesthetically, as well as improving their quality of life.
