Abstract

A study is done where the behavior of the incidence of lung cancer is discussed, with the aim to identify temporo-spatial cluster in randomized patients not diagnosed with lung cancer in the town of Guantanamo during the period 2004 - 2011 The universe is formed by 437 patients with lung cancer, residents in this county. For processing data analysis, two methods of cluster detection, spatiotemporal Grimson and improved Knox were used. The presence of 34 high-risk areas (blocks) with temporo-spatial dimension in five Township People's Councils, resulting with more level of infestation Councils "Rubén López Sabariego" and "South Hospital". Several temporo-spatial clusters of lung cancer in small populations that suggest an epidemic behavior of the disease in the town of Guantanamo was identified.
